Beef don is saucy and good

I like the food, but it takes forever to come out. Ironic since their name is Bento XPRESS. You could get a Bento box much quicker at most legitimate Sushi restaurants.

The food was good. The restaurant is older I don't like that you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom where you can touch the food that's been cooked. Very polite men work there. It's a fast food restaurant.

Very fast, and very good! I had the teriyaki chicken, some and veggie tempura, spicy tuna roll, and shrimp tempura roll. Not all for me but I had a little of each. All delicious! I would give the sushi 4 stars, but still good for seven bucks each. Highly recommend!!

come here on a weekly basis. service and food are great. they have a verity of choice, Japanese and Hawai'ian. Owners are super cool. always a pleasure.

I was looking for Katsudon in the bay area for a while and I am happy to have found this place. The service was quick and friendly, the cashier person made eye contact haha! I was in and out within 15 minutes of placing the order. The food came out to be warm and flavorful, I would reccommend this spot if you are looking for decently priced Japanese cuisine.

I went there for box lunch had the salmon it was great.

Please give this place a visit! It’s a must. Great price, for healthy and decliious meals. Most importantly, it seems brought me back to the old times, when family business care about their customers. I felt being treated well when the owner, while taking my order, asks “are you sure you don’t want any water?” Or “Would you like lemon in it?” That makes me feel being taken care of. The way to me just feels different from lots of other restaurants, like robots 🤖, sort of. I appreciate in such fast paced modern world, I have this place that has its characters and warmth. Please support local small business.

I wanted to find a place near City Hall that would serve quick food and this was what I chose. I read good reviews so I came over. The menu was simple to understand and had a good variety of choices. The cashier was friendly. The food was exactly what I expected. Great tasting food and good service. If you want quick Japanese food, this is a good place to go.

Incredible food and absolutely ridiculously incredible service. Everyone is so nice and really positive. Very attentive and helpful. Can't say enough good things about this place and I had my doubts since this just looked like a low-key place But don't let that fool you. It has an incredible foundation for a great business.

Just came from Bento Xpress. Very tasty Japanese food & reasonably priced. Service is excellent & friendly. Will go back to try other dishes.Just read a post from a Simin Guo. Is he rating the same restaurant? Not at all a one star or zero. He needs to get his act together. Thumbs down to him.

I have been going here since the 80's! Food is always consistent from back then until now! I always get the three item combo (beef teriyaki, pork tonkatsu and tempura)

Good reasonably priced Hawaiian style bento

the pork katsu is amazing, the sauces are delicious, the miso soup is some of the best, and the strawberry lilikoi (I know that's a pre made drink and not someone they make) is delicious. the 5 regae songs they have on loop are annoying though

Been here since 2000, same owner same good taste. Number 9 and BBq pork ramen are our favorite.

Japanese flavor with a touch of Aloha. Great place to eat with reasonable prices and good tasting hawaiian plates and don't forget their Saimin.

If google allows rate zero I will definitely rank zero or worse. I ordered bento box with two items, potstickers and pork tonkatsu with curry. It takes about an hour for me to get my food. I asked front desk many times they said “ I DO NOT KNOW”! Obviously there are very few people catering there at that time. After one hour I got my food and, 3 small dry potstickers. And, it is not pork tonkatsu at all! It is barely chicken with dirt grossly curry over it. Plus, they look much like the residue of other people. I HIGHLY DOUBT it’s the residue from other residue! I would like to report this kind of disgusting behavior if I have channel! Never go to this restaurant or you are starving to death and have no other choices. The front desk is arrogant, and RUDE!!

I LOVE this place. Whenever I'm craving Hawaiian food, Bento Xpress is always at the top of my list to satisfy my craving.It's located in a plaza next to a karate studio. There are plenty of tables & chairs to choose from! The gentleman who owns this place seems super chill and super accommodating, A1 service every time. I love getting their bento boxes. My favorite one to choose is the beef teriyaki w/ sides of California rolls and tempura (2 items: $10.95 and 3 items: $12.95). The beef teriyaki is so delicious, tender beef topped w/ amazing teriyaki sauce. The vegetable tempura is BOMB, crispy coating w/ crunchy veggies inside. The sauce that you dip the tempura in is perfect. The Cali rolls are also yummy, you can tell that their fish is fresh. My gf told me that this place has been open since she was a little kid and there are tons of regulars who come here often. If you want authentic Hawaiian food, def come to this spot!!!

The food was okay and filling. The servings are appropriate for the price. Nothing really impressive. But very fun atmosphere.
